17 The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
The sons of Aram[b] were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshek.[c]
18 Arphaxad became the father of Shelah,[d] and Shelah became the father of Eber.
